Hi all.

Really hope someone can shed some light here as there doesn't seem to be much info floating around on the web.

My Fiancée and myself are looking to get married sometime next year and we were considering having the wedding in Madeira. Now, she is Portuguese and is registered on the island and I am South African. Is there any legality issues surrounding us getting married on the island? Any special requirements.

Also, if anyone could point us in the right direction in terms of photographers/videographers, florists, etc etc.

Congrats on your engagement. With regard to getting married on madeira, you and your fiancee will need to visit the preist who you want to marry you and he will be able to advise you about the paperworkthat you would need. As your fiance is already registered on the island that will make it a lot easier for you.
