I too would like to know more about the dental care. Also about private medical insurance.

Re: Dental Care

There are a few companies on the island that offer a type of insurance for around 10-30 euros a month where you get discounts on medical care and Dental Care. Both a visit to a doctor and to a dentist will set you back around 50 euros for the consultation and with your discount you normally save around 10 euros.

I have heard that some people who have taken out private medical insurance in the UK have found it useless or complicated to claim back here, and a few use their British health card for treatment as well.

As for me, I try not to be ill and look after my teeth and if I have to make a visit, pay the money, but get in as many ailments as I can into the one session!!!!!!

I would like to invite anybody who has some advice if they have found a better and cheaper means of medical and dental care on the island to add to this thread please.
