AFPOP is and always has been a waste of time and money in Madeira. Much of the info does not apply to Madeira and can be obtained either from the Hon British Consul Joy Menezes or Loja de Cididade

Hello, I would like to ask a question regarding property value in madeira and the international crisis.

My wife bought an appartment in a very nice development in Ajuda, just outside of funchal, in august. She did it before the current economic debacle unfolded.

Can you guys advise me on any article or internet site where they treat on the subject of any decline in property value in Madeira? It doesnt have to be in English.

London properties have gone down in value a 10% this year, for example. Although I consider Madeira to be largely recession proof, I would certainly appreciat to know how do you guys feel on the perspectives for property values in the near future or any decline on them currently?
